Cam Newton – 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 – $255k
Otherwise known as Super Cam, Cam Newton is a renowned quarterback for the Carolina Panthers of the NFL. Before he joined the professionals, he was a college football player, and in 2011, he was selected as the overall pick during that year’s draft. He made an impact right in the first season, and as such, the value attached to his skills and name immensely increased.
Newton has made money over the years and this enabled him to buy a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442. He spent $255,000 on the car itself but spent considerably more to fully customize this vintage baby. He even had it fitted with 24-carat gold-plated rims and the logo of the Panthers in front. It is safe to say he is paying a premium on the insurance of this vehicle. That would be on top of the other expenses related to upkeep and maintenance.
