American rapper Kanye West is usually on the news for a variety of reasons, most recently due to his need for lawyers after Kim Kardashian separated from him. On the career side of things, West is a rather prolific and successful musician and fashion designer. He was so keen on pursuing a career in singing that he released his first album, The College Dropout, in 2004. He then explored the various elements of music and released more albums. His fifth, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy received a great degree of appreciation, just like his first one.

When it comes to selecting cars, two things stand out. He wants the best muscle car there is and he wants it to be safe. He is quite serious about protecting his family so he even asked that his collection be armor-plated. Among the high-end cars in his collection is a Rolls Royce Ghost, a Lamborghini Aventador and an Aston Martin DB89. One of the most expensive in the garage is a Mercedes SLR, valued to be at least $850,000.
