Sam Champion is a familiar face for many, as he is a staple in Good Morning America. The co-anchor came out as gay back in 2012 when he was wed to artist Rubem Robierb. The couple met with the help of mutual friends at a New Year’s Eve party. He was the first-ever co-anchor who came out in a morning show and received plenty of support. Moreover, their wedding was attended by their close friends and family. However, the couple planned on having a bigger affair in Miami at a later date.

Today, Champion and his husband are living in an apartment in New York, which is close to his network. They are busy with their investments in their rooftop garden, with the co-anchor sharing snaps of it on his social media account. The couple had a good start to this year as Robierb has become an American citizen. Kudos to the sweet pair who celebrated this milestone with a simple cake decorated with flags.
