Robbie Rogers & Greg Berlanti

Greg Berlanti, the famous TV producer behind hits like Riverdale and Supergirl could have written his script for meeting his husband. Looking back, a buddy offered to introduce Berlanti to Robbie Rogers, a professional soccer player, during a rooftop Pride celebration back in 2013.

After Rogers invited Berlanti to be his plus-one for the ESPY Awards, their relationship turned romantic. Berlanti, who was in his forties at the time, wanted to establish a family but wasn’t sure if he’d ever married. He knew Rogers wanted to start a family right then, and he’s always fantasized about having children. As a result, when they started dating, they were already looking into the possibility of having children. They ended up adopting before getting married. Rogers and Berlanti finally tied the knot back in 2017 and had their second child, Mia, who joined her older brother Caleb. Since then, they’ve noticed how far the LGBTQ movement has changed to some degree.
