Barrowman and Gil became married just hours after they were engaged. This couple formally tied the knot within a few days after the ban on same-gender marriage got overturned in the state of California. Barrowman and Gil were certainly one of the first same-gender couples to tie the knot in California, and they have now been married for a whopping 22 years.
