Hughes made his name as one of the co-founders of the social media giant Facebook and has made a huge investment in the iconic magazine The New Republic. Meanwhile, Eldridge is a well-known LGBT activist and former congressional candidate. They met in November 2005 and immediately fell in love. They made their first public appearance as a couple in 2009 during the first state dinner of former U.S. President Barack Obama. They got engaged in 2011 and tied the knot a year later.
