Samira Wiley is an actress who became famous through her roles on The Handmaid’s Tale and Orange Is the New Black. Through her time in Orange Is the New Black, she met her now-spouse, Lauren Morelli. Morelli worked on the series but as a writer. They first met back in 2012 and immediately became acquaintances. A big moment in their relationship was in 2015 when the two went on a vacation in Thailand. While the trip might not be what they expected and may have cost some credit card swiping, it was a glimpse of the romance between the two.

This went on for three years, and in 2016, the two upgraded their relationship to a romantic one. In October of that year, the two announced their engagement. In March of 2017, they tied the knot. Since then, the two have welcomed a child into their family after Morelli gave birth to their daughter in April of 2021.
