Rufus Wainwright & Jorn Weisbrodt

Singer Rufus Wainwright and artist Jorn Weisbrodt are already quite well-known on their own. Their union for nearly a decade now made them one of the most prominent couples in Canada, particularly in its largest city, Toronto. While the first meeting between Weisbrodt and Wainwright cannot be determined, it is certain that by 2010, they had already been together for quite some time. In that same year, they announced that they got engaged. A year later, they welcomed their first child, a daughter who was conceived through surrogacy.

In 2012, they tied the knot in a private ceremony in Montauk, New York, with 250 high-profile guests in attendance, including Carrie Fisher, Yoko Ono, and Julianne Moore. Since then, the couple lived in Toronto, where they often make headways in the city’s art and music scene. Meanwhile, they made an investment for their daughter in terms of her welfare as part of a parenting partnership with their friend Lorca Cohen, who was the one who conceived their child.
