YouTube star Sam Tsui surprised everyone when he came up gay and married his partner, Casey Breves, a day later in 2016. The video producer revealed he had been in a long-term relationship with his fellow YouTuber star and musician. Despite their degree of fame, Tsui explained he did not see the need to publicly discuss his personal life. He knew it had nothing to do with the music he would create.

However, the internet star stressed that even if he waited for the right time to address his sexuality, he was never ashamed of who he really was. He continued that he was extremely proud of himself and his relationship with Breves. Tsui also deemed it unnecessary to do a big coming-out video because, in real life, it was not a huge issue at all. In fact, it was only a “small facet” of who he was, and he had no care about what others would think of him.
