We’ve all heard of the reigning supermodels of this generation, Kendall, Bella, and Gigi. However, long before these gorgeous ladies made it to the runway, there existed the original supermodels of the ‘90s, which included the one and only Cindy Crawford.

If you’re a fan of the supermodel turned businesswoman, you’d know that modeling was not always a part of her plan. In fact, Crawford initially tried to pursue a career in science by taking up an engineering degree from Northwestern University. She eventually dropped out and moved all the way to New York to pursue modeling full-time. Fortunately, her decision yielded positive results. During her time as a model, Crawford became the face of several luxury campaigns, including Escada, Valentino, Calvin Klein, Versace, and many more! The supermodel bid farewell to the fashion industry back in 2000 and began an entrepreneurial career. Today, the 55-year-old is a restauranteur along with her husband, Rande Gerber.
