However, besides fashion and modeling, Turlington is also extremely passionate about causes like maternal health. In fact, she even directed a 60-minute documentary that sheds light on the lack of accessible health care for mothers in the United States, Tanzania, Bangladesh, and Guatemala. The documentary is titled No Woman, No Cry and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival back in 2010. Shortly after the launch of her documentary, Turlington began embarking on philanthropic endeavors with the founding of her non-profit organization, Every Mother Counts. This just goes to show that model is more than just a pretty face. Besides being a fashion icon, she is also a devoted advocate with a knack for business investments.
