Phylicia Rashad – 72
Phylicia Rashad is an actor, singer, as well as stage director who is known best for her role as Clair Huxtable in The Cosby Show. She received the title “The Mother of the Black Community” in 2010 at the NAACP Image Awards. For her performance in the revival of A Raisin in the Sun, she received a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play, making her the first Black woman to receive the award. She had other standout performances in Broadway which included Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Into the Woods, and Jelly’s Last Jam. She even reprised her role in the TV adaptation of A Raisin in the Sun.
Rashad has also appeared in several TV series such as Touched by an Angel, In the House, Cosby, as well as Everybody Hates Chris. She also landed a role in For Colored Girls, for which she received the Outstanding Supporting Actress award from Black Reel Awards. It seems that she has a good head when it comes to her investment money as she has half a million dollars’ net worth.
