Richard Beymer – 83
Richard Beymer has been in the industry of acting for more than four decades. He started as a child star, with the Los Angeles TV series Sandy Dreams as his debut role on TV. Beymer was only 10 when he starting acting and then went into film acting in 1953. He got a role for Vittorio De Sica’s Stazione Termini. Despite the success of his film career, he found himself more in demand in TV shows. He would spend years on TV with shows like Johnny Tremain, Zane Grey Theater, and Navy Log, among others. It was in the ‘60s when he gained momentous again in the film industry when he played Tony in the West Side Story. He also played Peter in The Diary of Anne Frank. His latest popular work was Twin Peaks, which ran from 1990 to 1991 and has a sequel in 2017.
At age 83, some may think that Beymer has already retired and should only be thinking of all his investments. This is not the case for the man as he continues to write scripts and do artworks like painting and sculpting in his home in Fairfield, Iowa. He is also into Transcendental Meditation, a practice that helps him in his health and wellness.
