Brigitte Bardot – 86

Brigitte Bardot became a club member – foreign-language stars who achieve international degrees of fame on the silver screen. Throughout the 1950s, her sensual appeal made her a sensation in Europe. Bardot became a worldwide star after Et Dieu Crea la Femme (And God Created Woman). She was unlike any other American star of her age.

During the 1960s, Bardot also pursued a musical career, releasing albums such as Brigitte Bardot Sings and Special Bardot. She also collaborated with Serge Gainsbourg, a French singer and songwriter. Bardot contributed more to the film industry than merely appeal. Her success was instrumental in developing a market for foreign films in English-speaking countries. She would mature gracefully in her homeland and become one of the most prominent animal rights campaigners. It only goes to show that she was much more than a pretty face and muse for everyone.
