Loni Anderson is a familiar face in the entertainment industry for her role in the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, where she played Jennifer Marlowe. Her acting debut was in 1966 in an uncredited role for Nevada Smith. However, it took her a decade before getting guest roles on TV. Among her guest roles for TV shows like S.W.A.T, The Invisible Man, Harry O, Phyllis, and Police Woman. It was in WKRP in Cincinnati, however, where she gained quite the following. She was given the role of the sultry receptionist because she gave off the same vibes as Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield.

However, Anderson’s career started to wane after the show was cancelled. She did take on roles for other TV shows like Partners in Crime, Amazing Stories, A Letter to Three Wives, as well as Sorry, Wrong Number. She did make a comeback during the 1990s when she portrayed Thelma Todd for White Hot: The Mysterious Murder of Thelma Todd.
