Joy Reid – 52

Joy Reid is poised to be the first woman of color to be hosting a prime-time talk show at MSNBC. Considered as a heroine of the resistance during the Trump era, Reid shows she is a formidable presence on TV not just as an anchor, but also as a respected author. Graduating from Harvard University with a degree in journalism, one of her dreams was to write a best-selling novel, which she did when she wrote Fracture: Barack Obama, the Clintons, and the Racial Divide.

Starting as a radio co-host and a political columnist in Miami, Reid then worked at The Grio’s managing editor. She later hosted The Red Report starting from 2014 to 2015 before becoming a national correspondent for MSNBC. She became the host of AM Joy in 2016. She will be hosting ReidOut, which will be aired on the same network where she has been working for several years.
