Carol Burnett – 88

Carol Burnett is one of the most loved figures in the entertainment industry, not just as an actor but as a writer, a singer, and comedian too. She is best known for hosting her own program called The Carol Burnett Show, which aired on CBS. Burnett was musically inclined ever since she was little, but she had also a love for acting. Since she wanted to pursue a career in acting, she went and got a degree in UCLA for theater arts and English. An anonymous man helped her get started in New York with her boyfriend, though it took her a year before she started getting roles.

It was in the theater that she first gained notoriety which also propelled her to stardom. She had appeared in shows such as Pantomime Quiz, as well as The Gary Moore Show, which got her an Emmy. However, it was in The Carol Burnett Show that sealed her acting career as it had a good 11-year run and 23 Emmy Awards.
