As an English actress who has proven her talent and skills in the acting world, she is regarded as one of the best among the best. Smith made her debut in acting thru theatre when she landed a role for the hit Shakespeare play the Twelfth Night. Her great acting chops caught the attention to talent scouts for films, leading her to land a role in Oxford Accents and in Child in the House, both of which are one of the best movies of the decade.

Some of her most notable works include a lead role in Downtown Abbey which ran for five years.
