Peter Billingsley – 49 – Film Maker
Peter is also one of those actors who started out young in the world of show business. His first role was in a Geritol commercial as a two-year-old, and countless opportunities came after that. Throughout the late 1970s to the early 1980s, Billingsley had over 100 commercials he had starred in. Then, he started appearing in films. One of the earliest of him was Joseph Brook’s If I Ever See You Again.
Those years might have been good ones for Peter, but in the late 1980s, his career slowed. In the early 1990s, he started to land older roles such as his special appearance in The Writing on the Wall that garnered him an Emmy Award. Behind the cameras, he started to devote himself to co-producing films for The Discovery Channel and other projects following that. He got nominated again for another Emmy Award in 2001 as a co-executive producer for the show Dinner for Five. In 1999, he also ventured into releasing an album entitled Christmas Stories…Christmas Songs with his longtime friend Brian Evans. Billingsley then became an executive producer for a musical adaptation of A Christmas Story.
