Eric Clapton & Melia McEnery – 19 Years

Big age gaps between couples are quite common in Hollywood, but there is still some stigma attached to it. To their credit, Eric Clapton and Melia McEnery are constantly proving naysayers wrong. To them, a 31-year age gap matters little when the love between them is strong and real. The two first met in 1998 during a party for Armani.

McEnery was the one who first approached the musician, wanting to get his autograph for her uncle, who is a big fan of Clapton’s. Well, that small exchange led to something more, and the two eventually began dating. Love at first sight, we assume? Clapton and McEnery later got married in 2002 on New Year’s Day. On the same day, they also held another ceremony as baptism for their then-six-month-old daughter, Julia Rose. Since then, they have had two more daughters, Sophie Belle and Ella May.
