Elton John & David Furnish – 16 Years

“We fell in love very quickly.” It was how Sir Elton John described his beautiful romance with his partner David Furnish. The two first met during a dinner party in 1993, and not too long after, they dated. While falling in love had been quick for the pair, getting married took a bit more time. It would take them 12 years before they decided to make things official.

They wed on December 21st, 2005, at their home in Old Windsor. Their ceremony happened on the very same day same-sex civil partnerships became legal in the United Kingdom.
Since then, the couple has welcomed two more additions to their family. Their sons Zachary and Elijah are nine and seven years old. John has also opted to put more of his investments toward family after retiring from his career.
