David Bowie & Iman – 29 Years

Musical legend David Bowie and supermodel Iman made headlines back in 1992 when they decided they wanted to be together forever. The media feasted on the marriage of the two because it certainly felt like a match made in heaven. David said that their love story began with love at first sight for him. They met each other back in 1990 at a party. Iman had just recently retired from her long and successful modeling career while David’s career was still at its heights. They were introduced to each other by Iman’s hairdresser.

Their marriage came after two years of dating. David then proposed to Iman in Paris and they got married in April 24, 1992 in an intimate ceremony in Switzerland. The two celebrities valued their privacy so they tried to keep their personal affairs to themselves as much as possible.
