Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi – 13 Years

When Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi first went public with their relationship, same-sex marriage wasn’t as accepted as it is now. It was back in 2005, and from then on, they became each other’s rock. They were also among the most prominent couples to have gotten married back in 2008 after California legalized same-marriage.

DeGeneres and de Rossi first met in 2003 at a social gathering. At the time, de Rossi was still private about her sexuality, while DeGeneres was already one of the most open members of the LGBTQ community in Hollywood. It would take another year and a second meeting for them to begin talking and eventually started dating. It isn’t always roses for this couple, but they prove that no challenge is too great when it comes to the degree of love they have for each other.
