Sissy Spacek & Jack Fisk – 47 Years

Have you seen Badlands? The movie is best known to be one of the most influential movies of all time. What others might not know is that this is where a – currently – four-decade-long relationship started. Aside from her role as Holly Sargis in the movie mentioned, Sissy Spacek also has the credit for a good number of other characters. Furthermore, she has almost a hundred nominations bagged, winning just about half of it. Spacek met her future husband, Jack Fisk, who was the art director of the film on the set.

I think there’s really no other way to say it. They fell in love, got married on April 12 in the year 1974, and the rest is history. This year they are going to celebrate their 47th anniversary! Almost nearing their golden anniversary, the two are still going strong. Their story is definitely one for the books— one that Hollywood wouldn’t forget soon.
