Alan Alda & Arlene Alda – 62 Years

Born Alphonso Joseph D’Abruzzo, Alan Alda married his wife, Arlene Weiss, a year after earning his college degree from Fordham University. His acting career began on-stage and eventually led to a Broadway performance. He subsequently appeared in a handful of movies before landing his most famous role as Hawkeye Pierce on M*A*S*H.

Alda and his wife met at a mutual friend’s dinner party. Since tying the knot in the late ’50s, they have been blessed with three daughters: Eve, Beatrice, and Elizabeth. According to the married couple of six decades, they credit their long-lasting relationship to short-term memory. The actor added that their secret “seems to work,” considering how long they’ve been together. When asked about her thoughts about her marriage, Weiss said, “We both have a good sense of humor. I can’t imagine having a husband who wasn’t my best friend.”
