The Baby-Sitter Club (Canceled)

It’s no secret that many shows have a large and devoted fan base. The same can be said for Netflix’s The Babysitters Club. Rachel Shukert created the show, which debuted on the streaming service on July 3, 2020, and received widespread acclaim at the end of its first season. It also received the green light for a second season, which will premiere on October 11, 2021.

The show is based on the best-selling book series of the same name by Ann M. Martin. Everything began when the middle-schoolers, led by Kristy, decided to start their own babysitting business. Without the need for any investments, the children begin to earn money on their own without leaving Stoneybrook, Connecticut. Despite its ardent fans, The Baby-Sitters Club was not popular enough to attract more viewers in the second season, resulting in the show’s unfortunate cancellation. Still, ending a show with a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes is no easy feat.
