Warrior Nun (Renewed)

Among the Netflix shows that have been inspired by works of literature, Warrior Nun is worth mentioning. Originally a character created from the imaginative mind of Ben Dunn, Warrior Nun follows Ava Silva, a paralyzed orphan, discovers that she possesses supernatural powers; this forced her to join the “Order of the Cruciform Sword”, an organization of warrior nuns that aim to eliminate demons on Earth. Alba Baptista takes credit for playing the lead role; the said series also marks her debut in speaking English in her role.

Warrior Nun first aired back in July 2020, and gained critical acclaim. Avid fans of the show had to wait for a long time for the second season, which is set to premiere, hopefully, this 2022.
