With a lot of developments in the world of technology, we cannot deny that obscurity can follow. Set in Paris in the distant future, Netflix’s Osmosis features a new dating app named Osmosis. It has been reported to create an accurate match for users who are in the pursuit of a partner in life based on data generated from the user’s brain. It goes without saying that having access to sophisticated technology may come at a high cost. It can easily unravel the deepest and darkest corners of one’s mind by employing the same mechanism that the application uses to find users a match.

Created by Audrey Fouché, Oasis premiered in March 2019. Unfortunately, after a season of unnerving viewers, Netflix opted out of adding another season, despite the degree of praise the show received.
