Into the Night (Renewed)

Into the Night has received positive feedback from critics and viewers alike, and Netflix is thrilled to have renewed the show for a second season. The Belgian series has captivated fans with its apocalyptic-thriller setting, which has also become a favorite for lockdown binge-watching. It is based on Jacek Dukaj’s 2015 Polish sci-fi novel The Old Axolotl.

Its first season follows a group of people whose plane from Brussels was hijacked. The hijacker, an Italian NATO soldier, forces his way onto the commercial flight and demands an early takeoff. The passengers, on the other hand, come to the horrifying realization that their predicament is actually a blessing in disguise, shielding them from the disastrous and fatal sun rays. As a result, they must keep the sun behind them and travel into the night while dealing with water, food, and gas. The remaining survivors secure their path to a NATO bunker, where they seek refuge, in the second season.
