Mortel (Unconfirmed)

The world’s most popular streaming service, Netflix, is likely to cancel an underperforming series that does not appeal to audiences, but fans were perplexed when the French supernatural television series Mortel was canceled before its Season 2 renewal. Nonetheless, the latter eventually premiered in July 2021, much to the delight of fans. Both seasons had the same number of episodes (12).

Mortel received mixed reviews from critics, earning a 6.6 rating out of 10 on IMDb, but not enough to persuade Netflix to give it a green light for a third season. Fans of the French series, however, remain optimistic that it will happen, as it did in the second season. The plot revolves around two teenagers, Sofiane and Victor, who make a deal with Obe, a voodoo god, to solve and avenge the apparent murder of Sofiane’s brother, Reda. Perhaps the outpouring of support from fans will be enough to persuade the show’s creators to renew it.
