Merry Happy Whatever (Canceled)

Every now and then, it’s sad to see a Netflix show canceled, and Merry Happy Whatever is no exception. Fans were disappointed when they learned the news. It was an eight-episode comedy streaming television series that premiered in November 2019. The series had everything a holiday show fan could want, including a loving yet dysfunctional family, the charm of the holiday season, and Ashley Tisdale.

Despite its incredible feats, the show fell short. Though there is no official explanation for why the streaming service canceled the show, one can only speculate that it was due to the series’ poor reception. The show takes place at the Quinn household during the week or so around Christmas and follows Don Quinn as he struggles with various holiday pressures, which are exacerbated when the youngest member of the family brings her boyfriend—thankfully, no lawyer was involved.
