After Life (Renewed)

Ricky Gervais is an English comedian best known for his role in the mockumentary television series The Office. Over the years, the actor has worked on a variety of projects and has, to his credit, hosted the Golden Globe Awards several times. His most recent work is the British black comedy-drama After Life, which debuted on Netflix. It debuted in March 2019, with the third and final season premiering in January 2022.

It takes place in the fictional town of Tambury and follows Tony Johnson, a newspaper writer whose life is turned upside down after his wife dies from an illness. He considers suicide, but instead decides to punish the world for what happened to his wife by doing and saying whatever he wants, regardless of how others react. While Johnson considers this to be his “superpower,” his belief is undermined when those around him show sympathy.
