GLOW (Canceled)

Many of us enjoy watching sporting events such as wrestling matches. The same can be said for narrative-driven shows. The entertainment industry has given us programs that combine the two — narratives centered on athletes and the challenges they face both inside and outside of the sport. Netflix’s comedy-drama series GLOW, which centered on a cast of female wrestlers, had a similar premise.

Since its debut in 2017, the show has amassed a sizable fan base. Despite not being as popular as the other shows produced by the streaming service, GLOW managed to hold its own for three seasons! Despite the fact that investments had already been made for its fourth – and ostensibly final – season, recent events forced Netflix executives to abandon their original plan and cancel the project entirely. We’re not sure what happened, but suffice to say that this ragtag group of female wrestlers’ careers are over.
