Netflix’s Lupin, a creation of George Kay and François Uzan, highlights the life of professional thief Assane Diop. As a child, his father was framed for the theft of a diamond necklace by his boss, the affluent Hubert Pelligrini; he was found dead in a prison cell leaving Assane an orphan. After two decades, inspired by the book written by thief Arsène Lupin that Assane received from his father, he set out on a mission to redeem his father’s name using his immense degree of charisma, thievery, and disguise.

A few days after it was aired, Lupin made it to the top ten most-watched shows on the platform. The show went on to have a second installment. Actor Omar Sy hinted at a third season but Netflix hasn’t released an official date yet.
