The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (Canceled)

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance was canceled by Netflix after only one season. In case fans are unaware, this fantasy series is a 39-year-long prequel to the original 1982 film. Knowing that fans are eager to learn how the show’s story will conclude, executive producer Lisa Henson promises to look for new ways to tell it in the future.

The Dark Crystal employs a blend of classic Jim Henson puppetry and cutting-edge effects technology. It tells the story of the dying Thra world, where the Crystal of Truth resides–a source of unfathomable power that has been harmed to an increasing degree by the evil Skeksis. When three Gelfling discover the horrifying truth behind the Skeksis’ power, a new adventure begins, complete with a rebellion and a series of epic battles to save the planet. Unfortunately, fans will never get to see what happens next.
