Briarpatch (Cancelled)

Though Rosario Dawson deserves a lot of credit for her performance in Briarpatch, the show won’t be coming back for another season. In case you’re not familiar, Briarpatch is a television show based on the Ross Thomas novel, and it premiered back in February of 2020. It was able to achieve decent success in its first season, which leaves us to wonder why it got canceled. Nonetheless, author and showrunner, Andy Greenwald, is incredibly optimistic for the future of Briarpatch.

For now, Greenwald will be shelving the storyline that he planned for the show’s second season. Despite the show being canceled, Greenwald did give the show’s fans several hints pointing towards a comeback. With a brilliant mind and a ton of connections, we’re confident that Greenwald will be able to pull the strings necessary for a potential Briarpatch comeback. That, and we can’t get enough of Rosario Dawson in this show!
