High Fidelity (Cancelled)

High Fidelity is a romantic comedy series, which is based on a book by Nick Hornby. As some might know, Hornby is one of the most popular British authors, credited for About a Boy and Fever Pitch, which were both adapted to film. Likewise, High Fidelity was also adapted into film back in 2000, which starred John Kusack and Jack Black. On the other hand, the 2020 series starred Zoe Kravitz, Jake Lacy, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.

The series premiered on Hulu and had ten episodes. However, after just one season, the show was canceled. This came as a shock to some as the series garnered a cult following among its fans. Moreover, High Fidelity was also receiving generally favorable reviews. According to Kravitz, Hulu failed to understand the show’s cultural impact and how much it is loved by fans.
